Debbie Sloane
June 30, 1961 - May 28, 2013

Debbie Sloane, 51, of Nederland, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Hermann Memorial Hospital, Houston. A native of Houston, she was born on June 30, 1961, to Betty Black Bass and James Bass. She was the owner and operator of Beaumont Pest Control.

Debbie could talk to anyone about anything.  If you wanted everyone to know something, just tell her!  She enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors tending to her plants and being near the water.  She loved to cook, care for her pets, and cheer for the Dallas Cowboys.  She enjoyed listening to music, especially Johnny Winter.

Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She will be remembered as the matriarch of our family and would want us all to stay as close as she put us together.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Sloane of Nederland; son, Thomas Sloane and his wife, Dania, of Beaumont; daughter, Kadie Sloane of Nederland; brothers, James Bass of Nederland; Larry Bass and his wife, Sue, of Nederland; David Bass, Mark Bass and Michael Bass, all of Beaumont; Brandon Bass and his wife, Linh, of Lufkin; sisters, Sandy Gage and her husband, Randy, of Silsbee; Nadalie Warner and Vickie Bass, both of Nederland; grandchildren, Cameron Sloane and Hailey Sloane, both of Beaumont; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

A gathering of Mrs. Sloane’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.  Her memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, Beaumont. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
