Lloyd Jones, 83, of Hankamer, passed Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was born on July 28, 1929, to Leona Martha Rodgers Jones and Joseph Williams Jones, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and had been a resident of the Hankamer area for twenty-six years. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War. Lloyd worked in the steel industry as a pipefitter.

He was a very resourceful man who could produce something for nothing. Lloyd never turned away a stray. He was “Grandpa” to everyone; was a man who enjoyed staying busy; and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Elaine Jones of Hankamer; son, Robert Lloyd Jones and his wife, Dianne, of Monroe, Michigan; daughter, Linda Galvan and her husband, Jeremiah, of Hankamer; grandchildren, Jerry and Maria Galvan, Mark Jones, Elaine and Tyrone Salinas, Becky and Dago Torres, Matthew and Jolie Jones, Lloyd and Andrea Galvan; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Floyd Jones.
