Alvin E. Dinger, Jr. 
April 30, 1945 - May 14, 2013

Alvin E. Dinger, Jr., 68, of Kountze, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  He was born on April 30, 1945, in Berwick, Louisiana, to Anita Mary Billiot Dinger and Alvin E. Dinger, Sr. Alvin was a safety coordinator with Scaffold Construction. 

 

Survivors include his wife, Ivy Dinger; children, Sherri Dinger and her wife, Amy. of Morgan City, Louisiana; Crystal Sticker and her husband, Rufus, of Kountze; Paulina McCullen and her husband, Vernon Threeton, of Kountze; Douglas McCullen, Jr. and his wife, Kimberlie, of Paris; Timothy Dinger and his wife, Anita, of Independence, Louisiana; and Norman Carter and his wife, Lacey, of Tickfaw, Louisiana; grandchildren, Courtney, Dylan, Justin, Trevor, Landon, Riley, Meagan, Tristan, Shelbie, Makayla, Phoebe, Steven, Jessica, Destiny, and Loryn; great-grandchildren, James “J.D.” and Trevor; sister, Anita Louise Aucoin and her husband, Yuless of Independence, Louisiana; brothers, Bertrand Dinger and his wife, Barbara, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and William Dinger and his wife, Jessica, of Missouri; aunts, Ida Crouch and Virgie Gray, both of Morgan City, Louisiana, and Rose Dinger of Bayou Vista, Louisiana; and uncle, Adam Billiot of Bayou Vista, Louisiana.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sadie Renee’ Dinger-Hutchinson.

 

A gathering of Mr. Dinger’s family and friends, will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
