Ellarstine Jones, 75, of Stowell, went to be in the loving arms of our Lord in Heaven on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at The Arboretum of Winnie.  She was born in Anahuac on May 23, 1937, to Corine Rivon and Hardy Humphrey, and had lived in Stowell since 1970.

Ellarstine was a devoted and faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Stowell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many. Ellarstine has left many cherished memories of love for us to remember and will be missed by all.

Leaving to cherish her memory her sons, Kenneth Humphrey of San Diego, California; Allison Humphrey of Stowell; and Raymond Thibodeaux Jr., and his wife, Alberta of Winnie; daughter, Corina Raymond and her husband, Ronnie of Stowell; brothers, Richard Smith and his wife, Linda, of Anahuac and Donny Meekins and his wife, Shirley of Houston; sister, Susie Lewis of Hankamer; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; and friends.
