Jill Shelton Badeaux, “Mrs. Jill” 55, of Nederland, united with her heavenly father, Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on February 13, 1958, to Wilmont and Paul Shelton, in Orange, and had been a longtime resident of the Mid-County area. Jill was currently employed with Firestone, Groves and was also previous owner of Badeaux’s Excalibur, the Kingdom of Kids, Nederland.  She lived a life dedicated to Christ and was known to have a positive and loving influence on all children. Jill was an active member of Carpenters Way Church, Port Neches and a volunteer at Stable Spirits, Rose City. 

Jill is survived by the father of her children, John Badeaux, Sr.; sons, John L. Badeaux, Jr. and Johnathon Coby Badeaux; daughters, Theresa Badeaux; Julie Badeaux and her husband, Heath Parrish Sr.; Tricia Badeaux; Chrissy Badeaux; and Kamie Badeaux; grandchildren, Cayla Cortez, Victoria “Tori” Cortez, and Heath Parrish, Jr.; sisters, Connie Appleby; brother, Leon Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Wilmont Shelton; sister, Paula Barrick; and brother, Stanley Shelton.

A gathering of Mrs. Badeaux’s family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at Proctor Baptist Church, 4401 Jimmy Johnson Boulevard, Port Arthur. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Proctor Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, Orange County, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
