Cecilia Langston, 94, of Woodville, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville. Cecilia was born on February 9, 1919, in Morganza, Louisiana, to Cora Lee Oubre Sanchez and Andre Sanchez. She resided in the Kountze area for more than twenty-five years before moving to Woodville eleven years ago. She was a self employed seamstress and loved crocheting for her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Richard and her husband, Vernon, of Woodville; niece, Cora Lee Parker of Bandera; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, I.B. Chapman, Sr. and Joe Langston; son, I.B. Chapman, Jr.; and her grandson, Marc Damon Begnaud.

A gathering of Mrs. Langston’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. Her burial will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.
