Mary Kate Kincaid, 96, of Beaumont, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.  She was born on August 22, 1916, in Oatmeal, Texas, to Clara Etta Lester Lacy and John Franklin Lacy, and had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1945. Mary was a retired teacher for the Beaumont Independent School District. She is a Daughter of the Republic of Texas.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane Theobald and her husband, David, of Beaumont; brother, Dalton C. Lacy and his wife, Joy, of Miles; grandchildren, Darrick Theobald and Carol Crawford; great-grandchildren, Michael Lockhart, Kristine Smith, and Timothy Lockhart; and great-great-grandchildren, Hallie Lockhart, Caysee Smith and Reegan Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clebert Lamar Kincaid; daughter, Gail Kincaid Bowden; siblings, Lester E. Lacy, Valree Jackson, John Bonner Lacy, Leta Dell Schovajasa; and grandchild, Jason C. Lockhart.

A graveside service for Mrs. Kincaid will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Miles Cemetery, Miles, Texas, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
