Karlene Snoek, 69, of Wildwood, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013.  She was born on April 22, 1943, in Port Arthur, to Mildred Marie Wilson Snoek and William Karel Snoek.  Karlene was a retired social worker with Texas Department of Human Services.

Survivors include her children, Shelley Simmons and Scott Eric Simmons, both of Wildwood and James Karel VanPaaschen of Lumberton; grand-daughter, Christian Simmons; sister, Loretta Snoek Griffin of Kountze; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Mrs. Snoek will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
