Irma Jackson 
May 31, 1921 - April 16, 2013

Mae Jackson, 91, of Nederland, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was born May 31, 1921, in Jenks, Oklahoma to Della and Thomas McCullough and had been a longtime resident of the area. During her working years, Irma was a longtime Avon representative and was a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. She was a charter member and very active in 7th Street Baptist Church, Nederland, where she belonged for many years.

 

Irma is survived by her daughter, Patricia Wicker of Nederland; son, Sherman Marshall Jackson of Sanford, Florida; grandchildren, Duane, Chris, Lee, Michael, Robin, Eric, Kyle, Logan and Laurie; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Sara, Christina, Dylan, Derek, Jackson, Alexis, Sean, Maddie, Lauren, Reese, Addison, Joseph, Abagail and Rachel; and great great-grandchild, Warren.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sherman Jackson; daughter, Gail Beris; two brothers and two sisters.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
