Ray Young, 73, of Beaumont, formerly of Porter, died Friday, April 12, 2013. He was born on October 10, 1939, to Loretta and Fred Legg, and had been a longtime resident of the area before residing in Porter. Ray was a United States Army veteran and was a retired civil pipeline inspector.

He is survived by his children, Sabrina Clough of Douglasville, Georgia; James Young of Douglasville, Georgia; Marc Young and his wife, Dottie, of Porter; Craig Houser; and Todd Houser; mother, Loretta Legg; grandchildren, Nathan and Christopher Houser; Ian Houser; Dane Clough and his wife, Tori; Alex Varnado, and Ashley Varnado; and great-granddaughter, Austen Clough.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Lou; son, Wesley Young; and brother, Odell Legg.

A funeral service for Mr. Young will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
