Mary Belle Dickens, 91, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on September 17, 1921, to Mary and Richard O’Neill, in Detroit, Michigan. Mary was a family minded person, a prayer warrior to many and throughout her life, and a workaholic. She enjoyed reading, writing, research, playing games with her children, and smiling at the trees while riding in the car.

Survivors include her children, Paula Lezette Hearnsberger and her husband, Therman, of Port Arthur and Sherwood Floria of Beaumont; grandchildren, Daren Hearnsberger, Todd Hearnsberger, DeLisa Deutsch, and Layne Floria; and great-grandchildren, Morgan Ayres, Kelsey, Melanie, Hannah, and Grafton Hearnsberger.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother; husband, Raymond Dickens; and sisters, Doris Dalton, Pat Loden, and Dorothy French.

A funeral service for Mrs. Dickens will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
