Donald R. “Don” Smith, 71, of Beaumont, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Mary, Port Arthur. A native of Richmond, Indiana, he was born to Helen Banks Smith and Donal Smith, on December 27, 1941. Don was a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Joan Smith of Beaumont; daughters, Kimberly Reffitt and her husband, Albert, of Dayton, Ohio and Roberta Dalton and her husband, Larry of Richmond, Indiana; sons, William F. “Bill” Gray and his wife, Brenda, of Beaumont; and Timothy L. Gray and his wife, Darlene, of Lumberton; brother, Larry Sutherland, of Richmond, Indiana; twenty grandchildren; and thirty-three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Penny Gard; and son, Rickie Allen Gray, both of Richmond, Indiana.

His funeral service will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2013, at Calvary Tabernacle, 1135 Chamberlin Drive, Beaumont, with Pastor Carl Vickery, officiating, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
