A soldier died today. Adolph
“J.R.” Walters, Jr., 65, of Silsbee, died Sunday, April 7, 2013. J.R. was born
on February 24, 1948, in
J.R. was a lifetime member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and was the adult Sunday school
teacher at
Survivors include his wife, Frances “Fran” Walters; sons, Billy Dryden and his wife, Rena, of Three Forks, Montana; Brad Walters of Kentucky; and Isom W. Dryden and his wife, Danna, of Vidor; daughters, D’Juana Mott, Donna Dowell, and Teresa Campise; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Campbell and her husband, Dennis, of Silsbee. He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughters, Caroletta Lynn Dryden and Frances Ann Dryden.
A gathering of his family and
friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at
