Samuel Nathan Frisby, 22, of Beaumont, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston.  Nathan “Nate” was born on August 6, 1990, in Beaumont, Texas.  He was a 2012 graduate of “The Oaks Special Education Center”.  Nathan was a “special needs young man” and lived the past seventeen years with his grandparents in Beaumont, Texas.

Survivors include his grandparents, Roy and Lynn McGrath of Beaumont;  mother, Dee Kirby Faircloth and her husband, Jamie, of Conroe; brothers, Daniel Frisby of Fort Riley, Kansas and Justin Frisby of Beaumont; aunts, Amy Gorrell and her husband, Mark, of Beaumont and Beth Schwinger and her husband, Brian, of Austin; and numerous other family members.

Nathan was known for his bright smile and his big laugh.  He enjoyed music, basketball, swimming, being taken for a walk, watching his movies, and participation in the “Special Olympics”.  Nate was elected Prom King at his 2012 prom.  Nathan enriched the life of every person he touched.  He will be greatly missed by everyone.

A gathering of Nathan’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church, 6220 Westgate Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont.
