Perry Waylen Malone, Sr., 66, of Sour Lake, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013.  He was born on March 6, 1947, in Beaumont, to Annie Ethridge Malone and Troy Waylen Malone.  Perry was a civil engineer working out of Operating Engineer Local #450 and retired from Triple S. Industrial. He was raised on Pine Island Bayou and loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include sons, Perry Malone, Jr. and his wife, Tresha of Kountze and Paul Malone of Beaumont; brother, T.W. Malone and his wife, Carole, of Beaumont; longtime companion, Joyce Rich of Sour Lake; grandsons, Tanner, Tyler, and Cole Malone; granddaughter, Kristin Malone; and mother of his children, Sandy Malone.

A gathering of Mr. Malone’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Voth Baptist Church, 8205 Broussard Road, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
