John Joseph “JJ” Brocato, 70, of Lumberton, died Sunday, March 31, 2013. He was born on January 8, 1943, to Josephine Mandella Brocato and Sam Brocato, in Beaumont, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Survivors include his son, Kevin Brocato and his wife, Mary; grandson, Blake Brocato; nephews, Mike Sorge, Johnny Sorge, Tommy Brocato, and David Brocato; aunt, Mary Bradford; uncle, Bill Bradford; and niece, Mary Jo Sorge.

A gathering of Mr. Brocato’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Broussard’s, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
