Thomas Courtney Hebert, 86, of Broaddus, Texas, died March 20, 2013, at Lufkin Memorial Hospital. A native of Kaplan, Louisiana, he was born on July 4, 1926, to Ella Lemaire Hebert and Mayo Hebert.

Thomas faithfully served as a Baptist minister for fifty-seven years working for the communities of Greenwood, Louisiana; New Gulf, Nederland and Beaumont, Texas.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Pat Purgahn Hebert; daughters, Laurie Goldin and her husband, Rick; Terrie Harris and her husband, Jimmey; and Joanie Johnston and her husband, David; son, Andy Hebert and his wife, Renee; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

His graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.

A memorial celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Campground Baptist Church, 295 C.R. 2075, Woodville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any church of your choice.
