Archie Arena, 75, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013.  A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on October 26, 1937, to Mary Penna Arena and Joseph Arena.  Archie was a retired self-employed home builder and nursery owner.  He was a longtime member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church and a member of the Italian American Society of Beaumont.

Survivors include his loving wife, Violet Arena; sons, Tony Arena, Ricky Arena, and Robert Arena and his wife, Linda, all of Beaumont; daughter, Brandy Arena Hannah and her husband, Rob, of Austin; grandson, Brandon Arena; brothers, Joseph “Joe” Arena and Kelly Arena and his wife, Donna; and sister, Josey Sarafina.

Archie is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tony, Vincent, and Sam Arena; and sister, Frances Madaffri.

A Rosary for Mr. Arena will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow, Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
