Barbara Ann Lamb Burns, 71, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013.  She was born on April 12, 1941, in Silsbee, to Bertsia Lowe Lamb and James Henry Lamb, Jr.  She retired from American Valve and Hydrant July 1, 2006, where she worked as the personnel manager.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Fulton Burns; son, Robert Fulton Burns, Jr. of Silsbee; five grandchildren; sister, Belle Byron and her husband, John, of Lumberton; sister-in-law, Melba Lamb of Silsbee; three nieces, Beverly Judalet and her husband, Randy, of Kountze; Angie Connally and her husband, J.P.; and Stephanie Swinney and her husband, Greg, of Silsbee; great nieces and nephews, Carissa Wheeler and her husband, B.J., and Jason Judalet and his wife, Victoria, all of Kountze; Chad Swinney of Austin; Trey Connally and his wife, Chelsie of Fairfield, Ohio; and Travis Connally of Silsbee; and great-great nieces and nephews, Ava Judalet, Abbi Wheeler, and Tucker Judalet, all of Kountze; and Raegan Connally of Fairfield, Ohio.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Cochran; and brother, James Travis Lamb.

A gathering of Mrs. Burns’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
