Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay Williams
April 27, 1958 - March 14, 2013

Jacqueline Kay Williams, 54, of Anahuac, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on April 27, 1958, to Herman E. Williams Sr. and the late Estherlene Williams. Jackie was the eldest of four children born to this blessed union. She attended Anahuac Elementary, Middle, and High School, graduating in the Class of 1976. After completing high school Jackie attended Prairie View A&M University for two years. She later moved to Beaumont for a short while and worked at various facilities including Goodwill, Programs for Human Services, Holiday Inn, and Central Day Care. Jackie was a people’s person and loved working where she could help others. She later moved back to Anahuac, as she helped take care of her parents and in turn Herman and Esther took great care of her.

Jackie was a sweet, kind, affectionate, loving, happy, outgoing, and an energetic spirit. She enjoyed dancing, playing the piano, walking, writing, drawing, and singing. Jackie especially loved traveling to Bryan and College Station, caring for her animals, writing to relatives, and giving them a call when she could. She was the main line of communication. Jackie spent many days journaling the family’s history and keeping record of important and main events. If there was something that you needed to know about our family you could always ask “Kay”, this passion was passed down from her aunt, Therma Lee.

Jackie devoted her life to Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Richard Roberts at First Missionary Baptist Church. As a child she was an active member of the church participating in the choir, Sunday school, and usher board. She also visited the Church of Christ of Anahuac, and Lilly of the Valley Church of God in Christ in Anahuac. Jackie loved to fellowship with believers and truly loved hearing the good news of the Lord.

Jackie lived a full meaningful life and was loved by all who knew her. She never met a stranger; Jackie was full of love and warmth, this is why our hearts were saddened on March 14th, when this wonderful angel was called home to be with her Heavenly Father.
