Rose Marie Marshall, 69, of Nederland, died Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born January 22, 1944, in Beaumont, to Beedie Frances Kennedy Adaway and Johnnie Adaway, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Rose devoted her life to caring for her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a fabulous cook, enjoyed art and loved Elvis.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Joy Boyd and her husband, Mike, of Nederland and Brenda Amy and her husband, Brian, of Fannett; son, Jackie Scott Marshall and his wife, Margarita, of Nederland; grandchildren, Amanda Barlow of Bridge City; Brandi Barlow of Hawaii; Geoff Boyd of Nederland; Aaron Boyd and his wife, Amber, of Bridge City; Michael Boyd, Jr. and his wife, Janaye, of Groves; Brian Amy, Jr. of Fannett; Blake Amy and his wife, Kira, of Fannett; Britni Amy of Nederland; and Jake Lewis Marshall of Nederland; great-grandchildren, Camden Clark, Eisley Stansbury, Tucker and Olivia Lamance, Marleigh, Luke and Riley Boyd, Brycen and  Millie Amy,  and Aniyah Finkley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jackie Lewis Marshall; brother, Gerald Adaway; and sister, Betty Lou Adaway.

A gathering of Mrs. Marshall’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
