Jody Gene Wood, 47, of Silsbee, died Saturday, March 2, 2013.  He was born on October 30, 1965, in The Dalles, Oregon, to Kathy Ridgeway Smith and Joseph Smith.  Jody served his country in the United States Armed Forces and was a diesel mechanic for the City of Silsbee.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Wood; children, Josey Wood, Kelcie Wood, Ryan Wood, and Hunter Wood; mother, Kathy Wood of Union, Oregon; brothers, Chuck Buchanan and his wife, Cheryl, of Durkee, Oregon and Mike Buchanan and his wife, Connie, of Summerville, Oregon; sister, Sheri Wood of Colville, Washington; and grandmother, Nettie Downs of La Grande, Oregon.

His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
