Joe Barrow, 63, of China, died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on February 11, 1950, in Beaumont, to Frances McClain Barrow and Joseph Edward Barrow, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area. Joe was a United States Air Force veteran and was a mechanic for Eddie’s Automotive.

He enjoyed hunting, outdoors, automobiles, and mechanical work. More than anything, Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Barrow of China; mother, Frances Ford of Tyler; sons, Joe Barrow and his wife, Tricia, of China; Jon Barrow of Huntsville, Alabama; James Barrow and Teddy Barrow, both of China; daughters, Kathleen Barrow of Higgins and Alexia Barrow of China; brother, Robin Barrow of Houston; grandchildren, Daniel Barrow, Rebecca Barrow, Ransom Watkins, Journey Cole, and Ashley Dittfurth; and his dog, Chase.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, J.E. Barrow, Sr.

A gathering of Mr. Barrow’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013, at Sherman Family Cemetery, Lake Charlotte Road, Wallisville.
