Glenda Sue Garth, 74, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013. A native of Beaumont, she was born on January 11, 1939, to Hazel Stockholm Scott and Roy C. Scott.

Survivors include her cousins, Heather Shaffer-Van Dresar, who was more like a daughter to Glenda, and her family; Gary and Terilee Shaffer; Kary Shaffer; Cody Shaffer, Scott Shaffer and Kent Shaffer and all their families; step-children, Tyrrell Garth, Harriet Garth and David Garth and their families; and longtime family friend, Grace Campisi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, C. Tyrrell Garth, Jr.; and parents, Hazel and Roy C. Scott.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Barbara Ann Phillips and Jenara Williams, for their kindness and care for Glenda.

A gathering of Mrs. Garth’s family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with her funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m.
