Tri Portier, 48, of Austin, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at St. David South Austin Medical Center. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on March 13, 1964, to Roy and Valarie Portier. Tri worked as director of sales with the Hampton Inn and Suites of South Austin.

He is survived by his mother, Valarie Portier of Jacksonville; sister, Toni Portier of Bullard; aunt, Lillie Nolin of Jacksonville; cousin, John Lassiter of Austin; too many friends to count; and Tri’s loving K-9 companion, Vegas.

A gathering of Tri’s family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His graveside service will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Tri’s name be made to the American Heart Association, P O Box 84115, Dallas, Texas 75284 or to the Pet Charity of your choice.
