LaVerne Mauboules Mallet, 90, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on September 2, 1922, to Mamie Wade Shook and Herbert Augusta Shook, in Houston. She was a longtime resident of Nome before residing in Beaumont.

Survivors include her daughter, Mona Corley and her husband, Bobby, of Lumberton; grandson, Marc Mauboules and his wife, Christy, of Vidor; granddaughters, Paula Lemke McGough and Erin Perry and her husband, Zach, all of Lumberton; and Charice Campbell and her husband, Aaron, of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, April Lemke, Autumn and Torin McGough, Breigh and Brody Mauboules, Abigail, Asbli, and Davis Perry, and Nash and Cole Campbell.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Emmett P. Mallet and Gilbert G. Mauboules; and son, Herbert Mauboules.

A gathering of Mrs. Mallet’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m. with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
