Addie Mae Buxton, 94, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013.  She was born on July 13, 1918, in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, to Edia Michon Dyson and Adolph Dyson.  She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Silsbee for sixty-four years and was a seamstress. 

Survivors include her children, Shirley Burlin of Silsbee; Donald Martinez and his wife, Tina of Evadale; Jean Thompson-Maxwell and her husband, Daniel of Silsbee; Barbara Gill and her husband, Dwayne, of Buna; Sue Roberts and her husband, Larry, of Buna; and Yvonne Heilmann of Beaumont; thirty grandchildren; seventy-one great-grandchildren; thirty-nine great-great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Rigsby Buxton of Pitkin, Louisiana.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burton O’Gene Buxton; son, Jimmy Fontenot; daughter, Trudy Fontenot; and grandsons, Martin Fontenot, Anthony Gill, Sr., and Rocky Thompson.

A gathering of Mrs. Buxton’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013, at First Pentecostal Church, Highway 92 North, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the church, with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
