Curtis Leon May, 78, died Friday, February 8, 2013.   He was born on August 2, 1934, in Van, Texas, to Mildred Music May and Baty May.  He served his country in the National Guard and was a retired mechanic at Goodyear.

Survivors include his wife, Janice May; her daughter, Judy Harrison and her children, Jenifer Franks,  husband, Jason, and their daughter, Violet Annette Franks, all of Nederland; Jacob Harrison of Nederland; Susan’s children, Jessica, Hannah, Zachary, and Hunter Guidry, all of Nederland; her son, Mark Smith, his wife, Kimberly, and their children; Logan, Gavin, Brandon, and Emily Smith, all of Aledo; son, Dennis May, his wife, Vikki, of Silsbee; and their children, Crystal May  of Austin and Courtney May of Beaumont.  He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his children, Harriet May; daughter, Donya May Camp; sister, Venita Burch; and stepdaughter, Susan Annette Smith Guidry.

A gathering of Mr. May’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Port Arthur.
