Dixie Voncannon Sue Webb, 67, of Nederland, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born July 26, 1945, to Viola Prunty and Cecil Voncannon in New Gulf, Texas. Dixie graduated from Nederland High School, where she served as a Lieutenant with the Nederland Westernaires. She was a member of F.O.E. #3743, Nederland and enjoyed playing bingo at American Legion Post #493.

Dixie is survived by her daughter, Kim Couch Smith and her husband, Robert, Jr.; and mother, Viola Prunty Voncannon, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Erika Smith Szudzik and her husband, Robbie, of Orange County, California, Connor Lynn Smith of Nederland and Adam Smith and his wife, Tamara, of Groves; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Taylor Szudzik; great nephews, Clint Hanley and his wife, Amber, of Lumberton and Jason Sturdivant of Austin; and great-great niece, Kyleigh Sue Hanley.

She is preceded in death by her father; and husband, Lynn Edward Webb.

A gathering of Mrs. Webb’s family and friends will begin 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 26, 2013, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
