Lonnie Ray Murray, 77, of Silsbee, died Friday, January 18, 2013. He was born on April 15, 1935, in Nacogdoches to Eva Bell Vanover Murray and Grady R. Murray.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Murray; children, Jerry Lynn Murray and his wife, Lorrie, of Woodville; Steven Lee Murray and his wife, Kimberly, of Kirbyville; Janice Kay Murray and her husband, Francisco Cortes, of Silsbee; and Wendy Lois Cheshire and her husband, Jacob, of Woodville; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Katy Rangel of Kountze.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Murray; and sisters, Wanda Parker and Sara Payne.

A gathering of Mr. Murray’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Chapel in the Pines, 18703 FM 92 South, Spurger.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Chapel in the Pines, with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
