Edwina Fant Ayo Driggers, 77, of Port Arthur, died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at her home. She was born on January 5, 1936, to Uldene Hankins Fant and Mayon Watson Fant, in Beaumont. She retired from Walmart and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland. Ms. Driggers enjoyed work, crocheting, and playing on her computer. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Deveda Puckett of Kerrville; Rhonda Mathew and her husband, Calvin, of Port Arthur; and Melissa Ray and her husband, Walt, Jr., of Nederland; grandchildren, Dewayne Brown, Kayla Willis, Chelsea Albrecht, Danielle Clopton, Amanda Rich, Carlie Clopton, Christopher Ray, Ashley Ray, and Bryan Mathew; great-grandchildren, Patrick Brown, Nathaniel Willis, Braxton Papania, William Albrecht, and Avery Myers; sisters, Elizabeth Shillings and her husband, Allen; Geraldine Graham; Debra Dickey and her husband, Allen; and Wanda Hennigan and her husband, Jim; brother, David Perkins; and many nieces and nephews. A gathering of Ms. Driggers’ family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, with her funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches. |
