Bobbie Doris Miles, 87, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on February 8, 1925, in Hull Daisetta, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Bobbie was a retired nurse.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Thurman Miles, Sr.; and son, Eric Knudson.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Jinx Marks and her husband, Gary; and son, Thurman Miles, Jr. and his wife, Terrye, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Coy LaSalle and his wife, Lisa; Thurman “Trey” Miles III and his wife, Genia; and Dameon Marks and his wife, Misty; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A gathering of Mrs. Miles’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
