Manuel “Andy” Anderson, 86, of Kountze, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.   A native and lifelong resident of Kountze, he was born on March 9, 1926, to Annie Elizabeth Brown Anderson and John Clemons Anderson.  Andy was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II and was a retired parts manager with several local dealers.  He was a longtime member of Highway 326 Worship Center having served as Sunday school superintendant for many years.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Dolores Anderson; son, Roger Anderson and his wife, Susie, of Kountze; daughter, Karen Hahn and her husband, Greg, of Tomball; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, W.P. “Pee Wee” Anderson of Kountze; and sister, Jessie Pennington of Beaumont.

A gathering of Mr. Anderson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at Highway 326 Worship Center, 5970 Highway 326, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Highway 326 Worship Center, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
