Charlie Leo, 61, of Nederland, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Mary, Port Arthur. He was born on May 16, 1951, to Carmelita and Joseph Leo in Cooperstown, New York, and had been a resident of the area for thirty years. Charlie worked many years for ExxonMobil Refinery as a process operator. He enjoyed fishing, photography and traveling with the RV Cub that he was a member of. Most of all, Charlie loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Leo of Nederland; son, R.J. Hawkins and his wife, Carrie, of Huntington; daughter, Terra Leo; grandchildren, Brody Hawkins and Briley Hawkins; brothers, Frank Leo and Joseph Leo; and sister, Jane Leo.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Leo’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

A private family committal will be held at a later date.
