Karlin Savoie, 73, of Winnie, died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.

She will be remembered as an excellent cook, loving mother, grandmother and aunt.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, John Savoie of Winnie; son, Thomas Savoie and his wife, Sharmon of Fannett; daughters, Monica Oliver and Ena Broussard and her husband, Rodney, all of Winnie; grandchildren, Alex Savoie, Rachel Bowden and her husband, Kyle, Chase Oliver, Nicholas Savoie, Tiffany Savoie, Tanner Oliver, Michael Broussard, Nathan LeBlanc, Zoe Broussard and Emily Savoie; brothers, Charles Richard and David Richard and his wife, Gail, all of Lake Arthur, Louisiana; and numerous other family members and friends.

A gathering of Mrs. Savoie's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, under the direction of Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
