Frederick "Freddy" William Fahrenthold

Frederick William Fahrenthold, 91, of Beaumont, died Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was born on December 24, 1921, in Halletsville, to Epsy Brooks and William Fahrenthold. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a retired lineman for Gulf States Utilities. Frederick loved spending time with his family, his church, and his time at the Nutrition Service Center. Survivors include his daughter, Georgia Zoch of Beaumont; sisters, Jean Appelt, Velda Staggs, and Gayeann Galetka, all of Halletsville; grandsons, Keith and Kevin Brooks, both of Beaumont; and Keith Zoch of Spurger; granddaughters, Laura LeBlanc and Georgianna Zoch, both of Beaumont; and great-great-granddaughter, Braylie Brooks. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Fahrenthold; daughter, Audrey McCarble; sisters, Dorthy Rother and Marjorie Schmiat; brother, Max Fahrenthold; granddaughters, Gina Duncan and Christine Zoch; and granddaughter-in-law, Sharon Zoch. A gathering of Mr. Fahrenthold’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
