Vivian Read, 68, of Kountze, died Friday, December 28, 2012. Vivian was born June 15, 1944 in Big Sandy to Ima Humble Williams and Carl Williams. A longtime resident of Kountze, Vivian was a member of Central Baptist Church in Kountze.

Survivors include her husband, James Read; sons, Darren Jordan of Lumberton and Donnie Jordan of Kountze; brothers, Leon Williams and Donald Lloyd Williams both of Silsbee; sister, Virginia Spears of Silsbee; six grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Evelyn Jordan and Norma Smith.

A gathering of Vivian’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Jordan Cemetery, Honey Island.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Vivian’s name to Jordan Cemetery Association, 1483 FM 1003 South, Kountze, Texas  77625.
