Charles Dwayne Abshire, 51, of Nederland, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur.  Charles was born on April 9, 1961, to Freddie Williams Abshire and Charles Abshire.  Charles was a joyous and happy man who loved listening to music.  He was a special angel provided by God to the family.

Charles is survived by his mother, Freddie Abshire; sister, Renee Haygood and her husband, Kimuel, of Lumberton; nieces, Stormie Sammons and her husband, Aaron, of Buna, and Hannah Haygood of Lumberton.

He is preceded in death by his father.

A gathering for Mr. Abshire’s family and friends will be 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  His burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
