Warren Fred Paxton 
March 1, 1915 - December 9, 2012

Warren Paxton, 97, a longtime resident of Nederland, Texas, passed away peacefully in the comfort of the home he built.

 

He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1950. After his retirement from Mobil Refinery, he began volunteering many thousands of hours helping people in the Nederland area learn about the bible and God’s kingdom.

 

Warren will be remembered for his quick wit and many talents:  poetry, writing, painting, playing musical instruments, dancing and wine making.

 

He is preceded in death by Mildred, his wife of seventy-one years.

 

Warren is survived by his five children, Kyle Paxton and daughter-in-law, Eva, of Corpus Christi; Judy Ahlm and son-in-law, Ed, of Nederland; Leeda Luciano of Nederland; Steve Paxton and daughter-in-law, Donna, of Porter; and Melanie Gworek of Union, Connecticut; eight grandchildren, Melina, Kali, Eric, Alicia, Wesley, Derek, Sally and Paul; eleven great-grandchildren, Ian, Max, Nathan, Natalie, Dathan, Kiely, Ethan, Arianna, Nikolas, Elena; and one great-great-grandchild, Zoey.

 

Warren Paxton’s family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Jefferson Home Healthcare for their loving assistance and a very special thanks to Shinette, Fara and Rita.

 

A memorial service for Mr. Paxton will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2615 Memorial Boulevard, Port Arthur, Texas.
