Gary Guye, 67, a longtime resident of China, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

Gary, loving husband, daddy, and PawPaw, was born in Houston and raised in Pasadena, Texas. Gary was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church Bevil Oaks, retired from Gulf States Utilities/Entergy, was a member of the Hardin-Jefferson School Board for twenty-two years, and was an auctioneer of antiques, cars, and charitable events.

He is survived by his wife, Laura, of forty-four years; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Tom Dickerson of Belton, Katie and Heath Dickey of China, and Jenny and Richard McLaughlin of Mesquite; grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Dickerson, Logan and Emma Dickey, and Jeremiah McLaughlin; other survivors include Evelyn Martin, Gary Brown, Elaine Davidson, Mark Brown, Christy Howard, and his loving church family of First Baptist Church Bevil Oaks.

Homegoing services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012, at First Baptist Church Bevil Oaks, 7725 Sweetgum Road, Beaumont, with burial to follow at China Cemetery, China under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Broussard’s.

Gary leaves a legacy of love, faithfulness, and servant hood to all who knew him.
