“T.A.” Thomas Alan Benson, 52, of China, died Saturday, December 1, 2012.  He was born on August 19, 1960, to Shirley Bruce Benson and Tommy Benson. He was a member of Pipefitter Local Union #195. T.A. loved cooking outside on his grill and hunting.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Cook and her husband, Derek, of Nome; son, Brett Benson of Sour Lake; fiancée, Lori Berg of Tucson, Arizona; parents, Shirley and Tommy Benson; brothers, Blane Benson and Craig Benson, both of China; and a host of numerous friends.

A gathering of T.A.’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
