Oveila Ann Jannise-Williamson, 71, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on April 1, 1941, in China, to Helen Hoffpauir Jannise and Clarence Jannise, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Ovelia is survived by her daughters, Helen Sandefur and her husband, Scot, of Glendale, Arizona; and Karan Berman and her husband, Mark, of Beaumont; son, Gregory Williamson of Beaumont; grandchildren, Dawn Matte of Beaumont, Dakota Walker of Dallas, Stephen Berman and his girlfriend, Anna Busboom, of Sour Lake, and Lacy Walker of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, John Gary Matte, Taylor Reighn Matte, and Ethan Preston Kirk; and brother, Charles Jannise of Norfolk, Virginia.

A gathering of Ms. Williamson’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon at China Cemetery, Benoit Avenue, China.
