Betty Sturgeon Hall, 67, of Votaw, died Saturday, November 24, 2012. She was born on April 26, 1945, in Seminole, to Mamie M. Sawyer Sturgeon and Val L. Sturgeon. Betty was retired from Victor Industries, Denton.

She was a member of Votaw Worship Center and enjoyed volunteering at the church food bank.

Betty is survived by her children, Chuck Berry and his wife, Stephanie, of Downing; Ronnie Berry and his wife, Lynn, of Dublin; Sean Berry and his wife, Brenda, of Downing; Michael Berry of Beaumont; and Jason Berry and his wife, Kim, of Votaw; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Martin of Grabill, Indiana and Lavona Thorpe and her husband, Gary, of Tyler; brother, Lee Sturgeon and his wife, Kathie, of Krum; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Gloria Jean Sturgeon.

A gathering of Mrs. Hall’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Votaw Worship Center, 3160 FM 2798 Road, Votaw. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012, at Votaw Worship Center, with interment to follow at Votaw Cemetery, Votaw under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
