Rickey Peter Parks, 55, of Nederland, went to meet his Lord and Savior Friday, November 23, 2012. He was born December 7, 1956, to Helen and William Parks in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rickey proudly served his country as a member of the United Sates Coast Guard from June 30, 1975 to January 29, 1981. He was always a man that took pride in anything he did. Rickey was a loving husband and father and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Lee Parks; daughter, Kaitlyn Parks; son, William Parks and his wife, Ashley; step-son, Russell Hellums; step-daughters, Heather Hellums and Tiffany Mowrey; grandchildren, Micah, Amaris, Racheal, Kinsley and Kash.

Rickey is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Brett Parks.

A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
