Calla Gager Fontenot, 88, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012. A native and longtime resident of Beaumont, she was born on August 29, 1924, to Rosa Holst Gager and Ernest F. Gager.

Calla is survived by her husband, Louis C. Fontenot; sons, Dwayne Fontenot and his wife, Gloria, of Dallas; and Doug R. Fontenot and his wife, Lois, of Beaumont; daughter, Mary Ellen VonNetzer of Beaumont; grandchildren, Michelle Fontenot, Brian Fontenot, Justin Fontenot, Andrea Fontenot, and Melissa Barrett; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Keith and Calla Fontenot.

A Rosary for Mrs. Fontenot will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering to follow Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
