Bonifacia Garcia, 89, of Beaumont died Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Harbor Hospice. She was born in Beaumont, on September 6, 1923, to Pilar Alveldaña Alviar and Crecensio Alviar.

Survivors include her children, Hortencia Garcia, of Beaumont; Mary Ellen Carreon and Leonicia Alviar of Poteet; John Garcia, Julian Garcia, Alfred Garcia, and Ruben Garcia, all of Beaumont; thirty grandchildren; seventy-seven great-grandchildren; and forty-five great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Augustina Varela of Beaumont.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Garcia; two daughters; and two sons.

A Rosary for Mrs. Garcia will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2012, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
