Emma Lee Taylor, 69, of Nederland, died Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born on January 11, 1943, in Sabine Pass, to Lorena and Frank Adaway, and had been a resident of the Mid-County area for fifty-six years. Emma enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cheering for her Dallas Cowboys.  She loved working in her flower garden and keeping the Hummingbirds fed.

She is survived by her husband, Barnie Taylor of Nederland; daughters, Becky McCurley and her husband, Mitch, of Port Neches and Elizabeth Holder of Nederland; sons, Sammy Taylor and his wife, Virginia, of Vidor and Rickey Taylor and his wife, Laura, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Jason Holder, Matt McCurley, Tim McCurley, Jamie Holder, Joey Taylor, Richard “Rikki” McCurley, Jeremy Holder and Amber Taylor; two great-grandchildren; and brother, James Adaway of Lumberton.

Emma is preceded in death by her parents; and five siblings.

A private family committal will be held at a later date.
