Sharon Kay Brewer Erickson, 49, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Port Neches. Sharon was born on January 3, 1963, in Kountze, Texas, to Margie Ree Kinard and John Thomas Brewer. She was a 1981 graduate of Silsbee High School and had lived in the Port Neches area for the past two years.

Survivors include her sons, Garrick Erickson of Colorado Springs and Michael Erickson of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; mother, Margie McIntyre and her husband, L.D., of Silsbee; siblings, Kathy Mitchell of Silsbee; John Thomas Brewer, Jr., of Bradenton, Florida; James Brewer of Silsbee; Cyndi Mitchell and her husband, Charles, of Silsbee; Charles Brewer and his wife, Michelle, of Silsbee; Kristi Jones of Spurger; Harold McIntyre, Tommy McIntyre, and Shirley Cook, all of Silsbee; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jonna Cook of Port Neches.  She is preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Brewer; and sister, Brenda Salter.

A gathering of Mrs. Erickson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
