Weldon Haney, 74, of Beaumont, passed away Monday October 29, 2012. Weldon was born in Nacogdoches, and lived the majority of his life in Southeast Texas. He was a long time member of First Christian Church of Beaumont, where he served as an elder. 

Weldon is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Carolyn Haney;  sons, Michael Haney and his wife, Paula, of  Murphy; Robert Haney of Houston; and Brad Haney of Kingwood. He is cherished in the memory of his beloved grandchildren, Shane, Kaley, Breanna, Brooke, and Brylee. Weldon is also survived by sisters, Oneida Faye Thompson and her husband, Ellis, of Beaumont; and Sue Richardson and her husband, Freddy, of Wildwood.

Weldon never met a stranger and had many beloved friends.  He will never be forgotten.

A gathering of Mr. Haney’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012, at First Christian Church of Beaumont, 5290 North Caldwood Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
