Robert Dwayne Hendrix, Sr., 51, of Winnie, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Winnie Community Hospital, Winnie.  He was born on February 10, 1961, in Kountze, to Gwyn Walker Hendrix and Ollie Ray Hendrix, Sr. Robert was employed with Monster Heavy Haulers, in Beaumont, as a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Jana Lea Hendrix; children, Stephanie Diana Hendrix, Robert Dwayne Hendrix, Jr., both of Silsbee, and Jennifer Renia of College Station; mother, Gwyn Hendrix of Rye; brothers, Ollie Hendrix, Jr., Chuck Hendrix, both of Saratoga, Buck Hendrix, David Lee Hendrix, both of Sour Lake; sister, Margie Rebecca Bellair of Rye; and eight grandchildren.

A gathering of Mr. Hendrix’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
